One of the most attractive Florida State Parks Rainbow Springs ( Google map ) is located few miles from Dunnellon - small town in West Central Florida. Spread on large area on the banks of Rainbow river, park offers excellent environment for vacation or a weekend in the nature

The headspring is a natural swimming pool with very clear blue water.

The feeling of this pure cool freshness is an unique experience of joy for the skin, the whole body and soul that will attract you again and again. Whether it is swimming or paddling, snorkeling or just relaxing - all feels great

Canoes and kayaks for rent are available for those who want to explore the river's abundant wildlife, including otters, alligators, many species of turtles and fish and also variety of water birds.

All around the pool there is a beautiful park with picnic areas with pavilions surrounded by green lush vegetation, blossoming bushes full of butterflies and mixed forest providing fresh cool air and shade. The famous azalea gardens are in bloom In February and March.

This wonderfull park has much to offer hiking or birding along the nature trails or strolling through the butterfly gardens, along man-made waterfalls and the sandhill pine forest.

At the entrance there is a small visitor center, shop, snack bar and restrooms, located in an elevated position above Rainbow Springs where you can enjoying the gorgeous view as you see on the pictures below.
